Private driver to Groupama Stadium
An OL match, a concert at the stadium or at LDLC Arena: Yanis drops you off before the event and meets you afterwards at an agreed point away from the crowd.
The route
The eastern ring road takes you from central Lyon to junction 7, then to the stadium in Décines-Charpieu. Half an hour in normal traffic. As the stadium advises, Yanis avoids Avenue Jean-Jaurès in the centre of Décines.
Depending on the time of day
On a weekday, leaving for an evening match often means driving in the evening rush, and the roads around the stadium fill up well before kick-off. At weekends during the day, the outward ride is usually smoother. Either way, leaving is the slowest part: the whole crowd exits at once.
Stadium or LDLC Arena
Groupama Stadium hosts OL matches and concerts. LDLC Arena, right next door, hosts concerts and indoor sport, and shares the stadium car parks. Give the exact venue and the expected finish time in the request.
Drop-off
On event days, traffic around the site is controlled and some roads may be closed. Yanis lets you out as close to your entrance as stopping is allowed that day.
The ride back
The pick-up point is set before the match or concert, a few minutes' walk from the stadium, away from the exiting crowd. You find Yanis there without hunting for a car in the crowd, and he sets off as soon as the roads allow.
Questions
Should I book the return with the outbound ride?
Yes, tick “return trip” and give the expected finish time. Every ride is booked in advance, and on a match night all the more so.
Can you drop me at LDLC Arena?
Yes, the arena is right next to the stadium. Enter “LDLC Arena” as your drop-off.
Can I come straight from Saint-Exupéry?
Yes, the airport and the stadium are both east of Lyon. Add your flight number to the request.
The match is tomorrow, is it still possible?
Call Yanis directly: at such short notice, it's the quickest way to know whether he's free.
