Up to Tignes Le Lac, Val Claret or Les Brévières, in the upper Tarentaise. One car from Lyon or Saint-Exupéry, no change at Bourg-Saint-Maurice.
The route
After Albertville and Moûtiers, the N90 carries on to Bourg-Saint-Maurice. The D902 then climbs through Séez and Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise to Les Brévières. At the Chevril dam, the resort road leaves the D902 and serves Tignes 1800, Le Lavachet, Le Lac and Val Claret.
Depending on departure time
On holiday Saturdays the valley fills up from Albertville and the D902 stays busy all the way to the dam. Leaving Lyon before 6 am avoids most of the queues. On any other day of the week, allow 3 h 10.
In winter
Mountain law requires winter tyres or chains from 1 November to 31 March, and the car runs on winter tyres. Les Brévières sits at 1,550 m, Tignes Le Lac at 2,100 m: the day before, Yanis checks the weather and road conditions, and brings the departure forward if snow is forecast.
Skis and luggage
Suitcases, bags, skis, snowboards: list each item in the request, with the number of pairs. For four skiers with all their gear, Yanis goes through the load with you before confirming the ride.
Drop-off
Tignes has five villages: Les Brévières at the bottom, Tignes 1800 above the dam, then Le Lavachet, Tignes Le Lac and Val Claret, around 2,100 m. Some are several kilometres apart: give the exact address and Yanis drops you outside your residence.

How long on a holiday Saturday?
Longer than the 3 h 10 of a quiet day, sometimes much longer. Leaving Lyon before dawn saves time.
Can you pick me up at Saint-Exupéry when my flight lands?
Yes, give the flight number. Yanis tracks the actual landing time and waits for you with a sign bearing your name.
What if my dates change?
Cancellation is free up to 24 h before each leg, outbound and return alike. Then send a new request with the right dates.
Can we do the food shopping before heading up?
Yes, mention it in the request and the stop is included in the quote.
